So That Others May learn from my experience, this office is now by appointment only. It was extremely easy to set the appointment show up and be seen immediately. Don't bother going down there at without an appointment you will not be seen and you will be given a slip of paper telling you to schedule an appointment. I just went to the IRS website and found the phone number to schedule an appointment I had to be on hold for 10 minutes somebody came on the line and scheduled my appointment it was for the next day. When I showed up I waited about 5 minutes and was seen right away. Do yourself a favor follow the process and you will have an excellent experience
Very very bad service.The representatives hangs up your call just because they dont understand your issue. THIS IS AMERICA????

Worst Experience ever!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS CENTER, THEY WILL JUST WASTE YOUR TIME. The first time we went to the office, the lady at the reception kept talking and asking why we are renewing my ITIN for around 20 minutes. In the end she said our appointment is almost over and we have to schedule another one. Is it our mistake that she did not understand why we are renewing ITIN?? Then after waiting for 3 hours with a baby, they finally had the grace to let us in and scan our passports. Alas they did not scan them properly. The next day the lady called and asked me to come in again to drop my passport. When i went in a few days later they said i need to take another appointment, even though it was their mistake in the first place. Then finally the guy who had failed to scan my passport came in and said it was his mistake and took my copy. A few weeks later i received a mail from the IRS saying i did not provide the necessary document and that they have rejected the ITIN application. So now i need to apply a new one!! HELLO WHAT IS WRONG WITH U GUYS!! SUCH A WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. THE PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE DO NOT KNOW A THING ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
You should make an appointment before going to this office. I arrived 45 mins early and there were only 4-5 people ahead of me. I was called back before my appointed time and was finished in no time. There were four IRS employees available to meet with people. When I left the office (about 3:45pm) there was no one in the waiting area. So here is what I don't understand -- I had spent several hours on the phone the day before trying to make an appointment at the Farmers Branch office. I was told by four separate operators that the Farmers Branch office was fully booked for 60 days -- not a single slot available until 60 days out. It almost seems that this branch has blocked-out its schedule even though slots are available (?). Hence, the call-center schedulers are turning away people, e.g. I was told to keep calling back and maybe something will open up. I'm sure there is a good explanation, but something doesn't add-up to me. That's why I knocked off a star on my review (otherwise it was a good experience).
