i Love dallas police. 8 Years ago i was on a exit to my college. black police officer came and helped me park the car on the edge. he took me to 7/11 on a cop car and he knew i did not have money. He bought a gas gallon with gas. i was so surprised that the officer would do that for me. when i heard the news yesterday, it was upsetting and heartbroken. Dallas police are the best of the best finest in USA and i Salute them for the bravery.
Last Thursday I was driving home after dropping off a friend. As I was driving down 635 a belt broke on my car which caused my battery light to come on. As I exited onto 35 I noticed my headlights were gone. Terrified, due to all the construction I immediately exited, and tried to drive down the service road and made it to Valley View before my car completely died. Since this was alternator related I barely had any hazard lights. With the tow truck 2 hours out, I know, great roadside assistance, I walked over to the gas station to get a bottle of water. While I was there Officer Carrillo walked in and I asked if he was looking for the owner of that broken down car, and he was. He followed me back over and all we could do to make sure that no one got hurt was to push the car off the road, backwards, because that was the shortest distance. He and I tried to tackle this by ourselves, but I am a female with not much upper body strength. We got it as far as we could, but the slight slant to the driveway proved to be a challenge for us. Officer Carrillo ended up having to use his vehicle to get mine off the road, which of course was not optimal due to size, but it was the only way to get it done. Thankfully we did, and I am very grateful he came to my rescue. At a time when our Officers are not thanked often enough for doing the little things, I wanted to take a moment to thank Officer Carrillo for helping me. Where I wish this was just a letter to thank him for protecting and serving his community, I am very thankful he was there to help me in my time of need. Thank you Officer Carrillo. I am very grateful to you for your service.

The Farmers Branch Police Department has a reactive policing policy which puts the citizens at risk. They apparently lack the resources to be proactive in preventing crime in the city. Though they will respond to your call for help, citizens should be armed and able to protect themselves.
